I came to this life, halt a century ago.

The works of photoartist, which we see, are not ordinary. It is necessary to them the way we see it. He distinguishes by a sudden method of approach to the photo. He is a master of all landscapes and still lives, there are no fussy persons, dancing in the mirrors. If there is a portrait, it's hot so important, as its background – they and what is more important – for you to decide.

A visible landscape is waiting its change in time. Winter by means of warm tones leaves for summer. The image is small like a flower in front of us. He woke up with a drop of dew, dressed in fog and is waiting for its dawn, as well as a lonely burned tree on a green meadow. Its dark – white body is an allusion on our past. His extraordinary subjects are reflected in the photos, which decorate the museums of Ukraine and outside the country.

To leave him - it's a travelling. For real work it is necessary to change colours: Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Egypt. And there is a photosaloon at home, waiting its bright staging by exhibition works in Poltava, Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa, Petersburg, Moscow. Every - thing is in his power. And as a worthy tribute in his 24 he got the 3rd - place at the photoexhibition in Odessa, graduated from Khmelnitsky National University, work at the Union of Ukrainian Artists, creative society “Mystetstvo”. Long –term search of his, own opened Tarkovsky is "pink point" to the author
<…You will find a word with a prophet,
but the word is better with a dumb,
and the paint is brighter with a blind man…>
Alexandr sees the simplest in the ordinary, colour in the fog, and fog in the colour. The photoartist doesn't put commercial aims –rather spiritual ones. To give to the people, by way of Poltava fields beauty, eternal and deep philosophy of life. That's why his photos don't only remain in our memory, but also touch the closest soul emotions, searching the purpose of life.

-We are used to seeing artists at the most solemn presentations, but rarely - at work. When viewing a picture in a tidy frame we do not think, in what conditions this small or great masterpiece was being made. But just seeing the artist at work, you can really understand what his paintings breathe with, what creative efforts they cost to the author. The artist's studio can say a lot about his personality. If you look at the studio of a talented artist of Poltava Anatoly Lavrenko, the first what you can see is the chaos of brushes, tubes, jars, pails with paints. And a lot of paintings, finished and not finished, a table with a traditional for all art workshops kettle, coffee jars, cups and glasses. Foremost is the portrait of Anatoliy's mother, which he painted when he was just 21 years old. A frame on the wall - a photo of his Mom: son photographed her before she went into eternity. On the tape - the medal of Afanasy Slastyona, the artist was awarded with it not long ago - when he was celebrating his 50th anniversary. In the workshop there is a chessboard with figures - sometimes when friends drop by they can play a game or two - a little break from painting.

Anatoly Lavrenko is a member of the Union of Artists (when the Soviet Union collapsed, automatically became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine). The fact that he joined this organization then says a lot about the level of his skills, because then the admission criteria were very hard.

In his creative work Anatoly Lavrenko never went along the beaten paths. Such world-known artists as Van Gogh, Kazimir Malevich, Pavel Filonov, Chun Tvari, Olive Subbi inspired him in search of his own self. Lavrenko found his artistic credo, when he drew women with the sheaves in the field - he grew up in the village and saw farmers at work. This picture was bought at the exhibition in Kiev, and Anatoly made its replica. The success led to the creation of a series of paintings about the hard work of peasant women. On Lavrenko's canvases there appeared women who broke corn, reaped rye, bound sheaves.

Workshop of the artist.

- "I feel nostalgia for all those things. Work with bread is holy" - says the artist.
It is because of his thirst to the portrayal of labor of farmers the colleagues nicknamed Anatoly Lavrenko "the artist from the land". They say that in the Ukrainian art he takes the same niche as Kosovo and Averbooh in the British art. The creative work of these artists is characterized by pastose techniques. Thick layers of paint are associated with the technique of relief, but the relief of a saturated color. To some extent pastose painting style is related to sculpture. Texture has vibration, including a color that is particularly affects the viewer. One of the pioneers of pastose painting is considered to be Van Gogh.

The works of Lavrenko are characterized by associative, childish perception of the world, laconism and naivity. At the same time, the artist uses a palette of rich colours, he is a master of a color range of modern plastics. Among the most favorite paints at the moment are peterburzhskaya viridonova gray and green.

While studying at Kharkiv Art College Anatoly Lavrenko was a student of the famous Kharkov artist Vladimir Lenchin, who taught the movement of forms in space, opposed to the dominant method of socialist realism at that time. Lavrenko learned not just to reflect the reality photographically accurately, but to reproduce it analytically, sensually and expressively, in only his distinctive images.

-"One thing is to have a great world in your mind, the other - how you can express it "- he says.

Anatoly Lavrenko is not afraid to experiment with colors, images, line, shape. Of course, there can be not only godsends, but the defeats as well, but it is the normal creative process.

It has become a good tradition among Poltava artists to organize exhibitions on the eve of the anniversary in the Department of Arts of the Regional Library named after Kotlyarevsky. A small circle of friends and fans, members of the Club of interesting meetings. Such exhibitions become the preliminary acquaintance with the artist. And if they have a sincere interest from the visitors that guarantees that the exhibition will have a great success in the salon.

So it was on February, 18 when we looked in the presentation. What awaits us, what does the inner world of the artist look like? In a small circle of people it is easier to understand it, especially with a personal contact. The first impression: there is no industrial interior. You can see the pure beauty of people, their unity. We are the children of the Earth, we should decorate it, not destroy. Destroying the world we crush our souls.

Triptych “Ivana Kupala Night” – open, fiery dynamics. It is burning of the life in the rotation of the Sun and Earth. The same idea is in the picture “Lilies. Ivana Kupala Night”. Moonshine gives the images of mermaids dancing among lilies.

It is worth paying attention to multifaceted image and background of the portrait of Taras Shevchenko: the poet who helped his compatriots to build the paradise in their souls. The poet is depicted with the sunset and the stones which lost their support on the background. It is like a symbol of Ukraine.

Euhen Kurbala is a painter-monumentalist.
He graduated from Theatrical-decorative department of Kharkiv Artistic Institute. He painted the interiors of Poltava bus station, airport and other places together with a famous Poltava artist Kolesnikov. During last years he has been painting the churches and cathedrals. In 1989 he finished painting the cathedral of Archangel Mikhail in Svetlovodsk, Kirovograd region. He had been working alone for 2,5 years.

On the presentation his friends marked his reliability, honesty. Deep perception of the world is inherent to him.
The preliminary acquaintance with Euhen Kurbala has taken place. We are looking forward to his next exhibition.
